35 YEARS OF SPARKLING SUCCESS

Hi and welcome back to my blog. Today I have some exciting news about a very special birthday here at Jangro.

We are celebrating our 35th anniversary by inviting our valued members and suppliers to the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza for a very special annual conference.

Since our launch in 1980 Jangro has become a dynamic force in the cleaning industry with 42 members covering the UK and Ireland from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands to Cornwall on the South West Coast.

The annual conference, which is celebrated abroad every five years, will take place between Wednesday 9th and Sunday 13th September. Both members and suppliers will come together to share best practice and ideas to ensure Jangro continues to be a market leader providing quality products, innovation and unrivalled service throughout the group.

Words of wisdom

I took some time out to speak to Joanne Gilliard, Operations Director here at Jangro, and she said: “As we celebrate the past we are also looking forward to a prosperous future, with lots of exciting plans in the pipeline. This conference will bring together the industry’s finest to look at strategies to enable Jangro to continue to flourish.”

I also caught up with Phil Cullumbine, Director at Ace Janitorial, and he added: “Ace Janitorial is proud to be one of the founding members of Jangro and it has been fantastic to see the group go from strength to strength. The shared passion for quality and value amongst the members is the reason that Jangro has become what it is today and we will all continue to work together for the benefit of our customers.

“Of course, none of this would have been possible without the vision and commitment of our Honorary Life President Bryan Squires and we will certainly be raising a congratulatory glass to him in Ibiza.”

Know your numbers

There have been many investments and developments over the years, and these are becoming increasingly more frequent as Jangro continues to lead the way in the cleaning, catering and hygiene industry.

Its products are segmented into a variety of ranges including Premium, Professional, Enviro and Contract.

Jangro provides full technical specifications for its products alongside information provided by Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and the Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation (CLP).

Training for everyone

Jangro also offers customers an award winning integrated Learning Management Solution (LMS) to help customers ensure products are used correctly and safely.

There are currently 12 learning modules, available online and classroom based, which cover COSHH, Health and Safety, Colour Coding and Infection Control, Carpet Care, Kitchen Hygiene and Floor Care, Introduction to Equipment, Washroom Hygiene, Housekeeping and an Introduction to Cleaning.

Online resources

Jangro has also developed and launched a series of free online tools for customers. The first, Site Manager, will save customers time and money, while keeping them up to date with the latest health and safety documentation.

This health and safety compliance solution is available to all online customers and contains hundreds of Safety Data Sheets, COSHH risk assessments and process risk assessment documents.

Each time a new product is ordered online, the relevant compliance information such as Safety Data Sheets, Chemical Risk Assessment or Work Equipment Risk Assessment will automatically be added to the customer’s dedicated Site Manager area.

In addition to Site Manager, Jangro has also launched a free online budget managing service to help customers monitor and track spend. The easy-to-use software allows clients to gain full financial control of their account spending by allocating set budgets and allowing them to authorise and monitor expenditure.
