The summer holidays provide the perfect opportunity for a deep clean of schools, colleges and other educational facilities. Regular servicing does a great job of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene levels during term-time, but a deep clean is essential to reach the grime and dirt that has inevitably built up by the end of the academic year. Following months of unhygienic practices such as sticky hands, germs and mud trodden into carpets, an intensive clean-up is vital to prevent the spread of infection and ensure a healthy learning environment.

Now, wash your hands please!

Getting dressed independently, feeding themselves, knowing right from wrong and being kind. These are all basic skills that children are taught from a young age, and take with them into their adult lives.

One important life skill that is drummed into us as children but can often fall by the wayside is the art of handwashing. Despite the proven health benefits, research shows that only 61% of respondents wash their hands properly with warm water and soap after using the toilet. Continue reading →

This time of year is full of festive fun, but is also a time when winter bugs and germs are rife. Did you know that 80% of illnesses can be transmitted by the hands? The best way to prevent infection therefore is to practise good hand washing, which not only has business benefits – protecting your workforce and resulting in fewer lost ‘sick’ days – but on a personal level means a month enjoying the Christmas festivities feeling fit and well!
