Happy Christmas Everyone!

As 2019 draws to a close, we bid goodbye to another year, and another decade. And what a difference ten years make! The cleaning and FM industry look very different now as technology has firmly made its mark in the business and sustainability has risen to the top of the sector’s agenda.

These two trends have played a big part in Jangro’s success in 2019, and look set to continue into 2020. But before we dive into the New Year, let’s take a look back and reflect on some of our highlights over the past 12 months.

Cleaning up at The Cleaning Show

We were thrilled to unveil the ‘Jangro Garden’ at The Cleaning Show earlier this year. Our show-stopper stand certainly made a big impression, following the retirement of the iconic Jangro double-decker bus from previous years. The ‘Jangro Garden’ featured lush green hedges, foliage and flowers, and made an ideal setting to network and do business.

It was also the perfect platform to launch our state of the art technological solutions, including our first ever Virtual Reality platform and brand new Digital Wall Chart Creator (for which we clinched The Cleaning Show’s Management Systems Innovation Award). Whilst we were there, Jangro’s Learning Management Solution (Jangro LMS) also scooped first place in the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards!

Super advances in sustainability

Sustainability is always high on our agenda and helping our customers to make more eco-conscious choices, at competitive prices, is something we take seriously. So we were incredibly proud to introduce our new and improved Enviro range of Water Soluble Sachets back in September. Now 100% bio-degradable and phosphate free, this innovative line of cleaning and sanitising products is packaged into ‘sachets’, to avoid the use of traditional plastic bottles.

This year also saw the launch of ‘Think Sustainable. For a better future’, our first ever sustainable cleaning brochure. As well as our unique Enviro range, it features a large selection of environmentally friendly catering disposables such as recyclable and compostable take-away containers and paper straws, and a range of state of the art recycling bins.

Raising standards

We continually strive for excellence and are passionate about helping our customers – and indeed the whole industry – to achieve this. That’s why we were extremely proud to sponsor the Rising Star category at the 2019 European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards in October. It was a fabulous and inspiring evening, which shone a light on the outstanding work being achieved in the industry.

Regular readers of the blog will also know that we provide all of our customers, and their staff, free access to our award-winning and versatile e-training platform, the LMS (Learning Management Solution). We were over the moon last month, when we received the stamp of approval from the CPD Certification Service. This accreditation offers customers additional assurance that the training we offer is relevant and of high quality.

And so, that’s a wrap! The only thing left to say on behalf of everyone here at Jangro, is Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. See you in 2020!

Ho-Ho-Hold up, there’s how long until Christmas?

That’s right, there are less than two months to go until the festive parties, dinners and events begin in earnest. It’s often the busiest time of the year for bars, restaurants, hotels and catering facilities, and as we creep into October we ask: is your business prepared for the celebrations that December brings?

If not, don’t panic. Jangro is here to help. We have two catalogues that will help you plan your festive celebrations quickly and easily.

Our Christmas Supplies Catalogue is brimming with fun and must-have festive favourites. Inside, you’ll find party hats, streamers, balloons, party poppers as well as matching tableware and crackers, napkins, and table covers in a range of coordinating colour schemes. This year, we are also supplying the Tom Smith Eco Range of Christmas Crackers. Donating £2.00 per case of its sales to The Trussell Trust, fully recyclable and from recycled board too, this is a great sustainable alternative to traditional crackers.

Take a look at Jangro’s Catering & Hospitality Supplies catalogue too. It offers all the essentials required for catering, leisure and hospitality businesses – from kitchen hygiene, utensils and equipment, tableware, and glassware to cleaning chemicals, washroom supplies and so much more. It also features many sustainable options, including a new food packaging range, which is made from recycled board and is recyclable, compostable and fully bio-degradable.

For clearing up after the thrills and spills, the catalogue also features Jangro’s innovative Enviro range of cleaning and sanitising products, which include smarter packaging single use soluble ‘sachets’, to avoid the use of traditional plastic bottles.

If your business is not ready for the festive party season yet, do not delay. Check out our two catalogues to ensure the Christmas season is as successful and stress-free as possible! For more information, advice, or to place your festive order, please call our friendly distributors on 01204 795 955. Visit Jangro.net to view both catalogues online.

Wrapping up 2018

Christmas-CEO-Jangro-2018

I love this time of year. As well as the festivities, and the lifted spirits of friends, family and colleagues, it also gives me the opportunity to pause and reflect on the happenings of the previous twelve months.

It always surprises me at how quickly December comes around, but when I stop and look back, I realise just how much was packed into that short year! So, as the year draws to a close, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the key events of 2018. Continue reading
