We’ve bid goodbye to 2017 – a busy and successful year for us here at Jangro. As the New Year stretches ahead of us, we take a look ahead to see what’s in store in 2018…
New launches (you heard it here first!)
First up, we will be launching a new Catering Equipment and Supplies Catalogue offering a choice of tools, utensils and supplies – in fact it has everything a catering or hospitality business needs! We’re just putting the finishing touches to it and it will be out very soon. We are constantly innovating and updating what we offer through our group, so watch out for more launches and news throughout the year.
A date for your diary
We’re excited to be exhibiting at The Manchester Cleaning Show in the Spring. Taking place on 11th and 12th April, we are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand (A32) where our dedicated team will be on hand to answer any questions about our product range, our award-winning e-learning platform (the famous LMS) as well as sharing ideas on best practice and innovation. These shows are a great opportunity to meet and network, so see you there!
The Brexit Effect
Brexit – it’s a word that is causing the cleaning and janitorial industry a headache, but it cannot be ignored! Uncertainty still reigns over the industry, especially when it comes to health and safety regulations. We hope that 2018 will provide more clarity regarding the future of health & safety laws, and will be following this subject closely.
As the Pound continues to fall and the cost of materials rise, we foresee that prices will be forced up even further this year. In a highly competitive market, where clients do not want to pay more, this will place immense pressure on businesses. Whilst costs have started to creep up over the last year, we have been able to protect our customers and keep our prices stable – it’s just one of the benefits of buying from a network which has long-term contracts in place.
As well as Brexit, we predict innovation & technology, the Living Wage foundation, and “green cleaning” will continue to be hot topics for the cleaning and janitorial industry. In addition we will continue to see a strong focus on better hand hygiene in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Over the course of 2018, we will be exploring these trends and how they will impact on businesses, and of course championing best practice in cleaning throughout the UK.
