Jangro’s 2025 recap and what to expect in 2026

As we look back over 2025, it’s clear this has been a landmark year for
Jangro, one defined by progress and purpose. From achieving major sustainability certifications and strengthening our commitment to inclusion by becoming a Period Positive Workplace, to unveiling a bold new brand identity and rounding off the year with award wins, 2025 has been a transformational year. Here, we spotlight the moments that shaped the past 12 months and share what’s coming next in 2026.

Making our mark on sustainability and inclusion

Jangro started the year strong by achieving Planet Mark Certification across the entire network of 55 depots, a significant step in our long-term ambition to reach net zero and lead the sector in climate action. Achieving Planet Mark status demonstrates our commitment to reducing environmental impact through clear, measurable targets.

As part of the certification, we measure and track key operational data, including energy consumption, fuel use, waste generation and business travel across our depots. Throughout the year, we have worked to refine our net zero baseline and reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 5%, based on our 2024 measured footprint. This structured, data-led approach ensures our progress is credible and accountable, directly contributing to lower CO₂ emissions across the network.

Planet Mark is recognised globally for its work helping businesses take meaningful climate action, blending climate tech, advisory expertise and legislative insight to guide over 800 member organisations – and we’re proud to be one of them. Through Planet Mark’s framework, our emissions data is independently verified and converted into CO₂e figures, enabling us to set science-aligned reduction targets and make informed decisions that drive measurable carbon savings.

Alongside this, we also became a Period Positive Workplace, reflecting our belief that inclusion requires practical action. By providing free period products in our workplace washrooms, we support menstrual equity and ensure no one’s comfort or productivity is impacted by a lack of access to essential items.

Together, these achievements represent the progress we are committed to driving both environmentally and socially.

A spotless new rebrand and podcast live

One of the standout moments of 2025 was the unveiling of our first major rebrand in more than a decade, launched at the London Cleaning Show. Developed in collaboration with creative agency Cogent, our new visual identity reflects what Jangro is today – modern, ambitious and united by a mission to drive the industry forward. The rebrand has been incredibly well received, resonating with customers and suppliers throughout the year.

The London Cleaning Show also marked another first for Jangro, as we hosted a live recording of our Keep It Clean podcast. Throughout the event, we spoke with a range of influential voices in the hygiene sector, including Michelle Marshall, editor of the European Cleaning Journal, Charlotte Stanley, a domestic cleaning professional who shares accessible and expert advice online, and Chelsea de Moll from Rubbermaid Products UK, who broke down upcoming recycling legislation in simple, practical terms. The event was a standout moment for us and a strong example of how our brand continues to evolve.

Growing impact with Nurture by Jangro

Visitors to the Cleaning Show may recall catching an early preview of Nurture, our initiative designed to bring environmental action closer to the communities where our customers work.

Nurture encompasses a growing suite of sustainable initiatives, bringing together our environmental commitments under one programme.

Through Nurture, we support Treeapp, a platform that enables reforestation projects worldwide, through the sales of our ntrl paper range. At the London Cleaning Show, we gifted Silver Birch cell trees to selected customers, recognising their sales history, ongoing orders and commitment to sustainable purchasing. These trees will then be planted locally to help capture carbon and create greener spaces. Each tree includes a QR code, allowing customers to log their planted tree. This enables us to track where Nurture trees are growing across the UK and Ireland, and soon we’ll be unveiling a map showing the total number of trees planted and the amount of carbon captured. So far, Nurture has already resulted in two forests – one in Cumbria and one in Bristol.

Nurture also supports Clean Hub, through the sales of our ntrl chemical range. Clean Hub helps fund the collection and safe disposal of plastic waste before it reaches the ocean. This extends Nurture’s impact beyond carbon reduction to tackle plastic pollution.

We look forward to seeing the Nurture network grow and the positive contribution of each initiative to local communities and ecosystems.

Celebrating 45 years of Jangro in the Croatian sun

Another major moment this year was our 45th Anniversary celebration, held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. This milestone offered space to reflect on the journey that shaped Jangro, and to recognise the people who continue to drive it forward – our teams, our distributors, and our suppliers. The celebration included networking events, a drone show and staying in a hotel that is recognised as a ‘certified sustainable hotel’ backed by independent assessment and certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. As part of our continued dedication to sustainability, we also offset the carbon footprint of the entire trip.

An award-winning 2025

We rounded off the year with well-deserved recognition that reinforces the progress being made across our organisation. At the Planet Mark Awards, Jangro’s CEO, Jo Gilliard, was named Sustainability Game-Changer, a reflection of her leadership and commitment to embedding sustainability into Jangro’s culture and every facet of the business.

Jo has also been named on the BusinessCloud’s Northern Leaders List for 2025, joining other influential figures across the North. This accolade reflects Jo’s ongoing commitment to leading with purpose and driving both business and community-focused initiatives within our sector and beyond it.

Looking ahead to 2026

With this strong momentum behind us, we move into 2026 with even more ambition. In February, we will be exhibiting at the Manchester Cleaning Show, where Jo will be speaking on the industry panel, “Future-proofing: attracting the next generation of cleaning and FM industry professionals.” Her insights will explore how the industry can nurture and inspire upcoming talent, support career development and showcase the range of opportunities available within the cleaning and hygiene industry.

Alongside this, we will continue to develop the JanGrow initiative, champion sustainability across our network and launch new innovations that support our customers and strengthen sector standards.

If 2025 was a year of change and evolution, 2026 is shaping up to be a year of continued growth and opportunity.
