Cyber Security is a growing concern for many businesses. In recent years, we have seen a rapid increase in cyber-attacks, causing significant issues to many organisations.
There is so much cyber security advice available these days and many people find it hard to know where to start. Some organisations struggle to explain why cyber security is something that all staff should care about. Even larger organisations with dedicated training resources find it difficult to explain the technical aspects of cyber security in ways that are relevant to their staff, so that they can help keep their organisations safe from cyber-attack.
Regardless of the type or size of the organisation you work for, it is increasingly important to understand why your businesses might be vulnerable to cyber-attacks, and how to defend yourself if one should occur.
Regular readers of our blog will know that, at Jangro, we are passionate about training. This is why we have expanded our unique and innovative e-learning system, LMS (Learning Management Solution) with a new module dedicated to Cyber Security. The module, ‘Stay Safe Online: Top Tips for Staff’ was produced by NCSC and takes no longer than 30 minutes to complete.
The course introduces why cyber security is important and how attacks happen, and then covers four key areas:
- defending yourself against phishing
- using strong passwords
- securing your devices
- reporting incidents (‘if in doubt, call it out’)
A useful infographic covering the core messages from the course is also free to download, print and share if you would wish to do so.
We are delighted to add this module to the Jangro LMS. As well as our new ‘Stay Safe Online’ module, there are also modules in Sharps Handling, COSHH, Manual Handling, Health & Safety Colour Coding and Infection Control, Washroom Hygiene, and much more.vailable free to all Jangro customers and their staff, the Jangro LMS has won many industry awards, including, first place in the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards.
